City Stories: Our People's History

A lot has happened since Saint John became Canada's original city back in the spring of 1785.

A lot to celebrate.

A lot to remember.

City Stories: Our People's History is the place to tell those stories.

The stories of the people, events and places that have shaped Saint John.

Throughout the year people, businesses and organizations will be able to submit their stories, memories and insight of the Saint John region to the City Stories section of our website.

This interactive site will guide visitors through the history of Saint John - as told by the people who know it best.

Individuals will be able to submit written accounts and/or photos.

If you are interested in being a volunteer with the City Stories project, in particular to work with people who need assistance putting their stories online, please fill out our online application form under Volunteer above.
